Liberty for London comes to Target

More tea? Yes, please.

These are just a few sneak peeks of the upcoming Liberty of London for Target, launch date March 14 for us in the States, and UK shoppers will be able to shop the collection online March 12, whilst Londoners can snap up pieces instore at Liberty's Carnaby Street shop from March 29th.
The collection will include housewares, china, gardening supplies, clothing...all at Target prices!

O! and I have spied a bike! a tie! a rain hat!
and whadaya think of using the gardening gloves whilst quilting?
And that's the second time I've used the word whilst ever, all in one post.

My nod to all things English.

Cheerio and regards to the Queen *curtsy*!

And the kit give away is over!

Wow, that was fast! Thanks to all who asked for their starter kit. I'm going to snap up all the requests I can handle so that means the kit may vary a bit from what I first proposed.

Remember, it's about two yards of fabric, so you'll need to add from your stash to complete a quilt. Katy said she'd come up with a pattern if you want one.
And visit Rachel's blog for details about the dimensions.

Don't forget to send me your address so I can ship it to you (thfabrics@gmail.com). Hey smartie Katy, let's (when I say "let's" that's you) start a flickr group to see all the variations of quilts made with the same basics!

And for anybody getting here too late, check back next week. I'd like to do this a few more times as I'm able and as long as there is interest.

Thanks again, ladies!

Starter Quilt Kit Give Away--for Charity

I've put together a starter quilt kit for my quilter friends who want to participate in Rachel's Give a Kid a Quilt drive. I have three kits all cut up and folded and waiting for you to make them into something gorgeous. Each kit will have a yard of the Joel Dewberry Ginseng, a fat quarter each of Bright Buds in Olive, Bright Buds in Aqua, Centerpiece in Teal and Acanthus in Orange. Now, Rachel accepts quilts in various stages of completion but her happiest day is when she opens her mailbox to find a finished quilt all ready for a new home. For a finished quilt, you would need to consider batting, backing and binding as well as the top, so you would have to add something from your stash. So if you were considering doing something for some one with less than you, this might be a fun place to start. Please visit Rachel's blog for details of her charity and just leave me a note in the comments if you'd like a kit!
